EXERCISE 21

An astronaut accidentally lets go of the Space Shuttle while on a
spacewalk.  She begins to travel away from the shuttle at 3.5 m/sec.  Thinking
quickly, she fires the thruster rocket in her space suit until she is moving
0.5 m/sec back toward the shuttle, and reattaches to the shuttle soon after.

(a) If the combination of space suit plus astronaut has a mass of 95 kg, what was 
the total change in momentum that thruster rocket produced?  
(b) If the rocket provides a force of 45 newtons, how long did the rocket fire?  
(c) What was the astronaut's acceleration during that time?
