Kirsten A. Moffatt, Ph.D., Consultant. Dr. Moffatt received her Ph.D. in Experimental Pathology from the University of Colorado Health Science Center. Her thesis work focused on the molecular mechanism(s) through which vitamin D acts to decrease the growth of prostate cancer cells.

Alan H. Anderson is a consultant writer who has written National Academy reports on a variety of topics, including science policy, graduate and postdoctoral education, capitalizing on the results of research, the cyclicality of the semiconductor industry, the “new economy,” women in science and engineering, and the Government Performance and Results Act. He also writes for the Institute for Advanced Study, in Princeton, N.J., and other clients. He has been a science writer for Time magazine and other publications, and holds a master’s degree from the Columbia University School of Journalism and a B.A. in English from Yale University.
