Features can be displayed in more realistic combinations of size, shape, and orientation than with flat maps. Users can easily rotate the globe and “fly” within the view, and export their resulting experience to a video file. This capacity to create movement within the map is very alluring to student users and can help them build a more powerful understanding of relationships.
