These technological developments, however, must be introduced so as to enable and not disrupt the users of the resource. It is critical to maintain an interactive dialogue with the user community about desired new functionalities and the feasibility of their implementation. Beyond all else is the need for good data and a robust data representation that is flexible enough to meet the needs of the changing science.
