Knowing what Works in Health Care: A Roadmap for the Nation
Committees. Dr. Steele received a B.A. in history from Harvard College and an M.D. from the New York University School of Medicine. He completed an internship and a residency in surgery at the University of Colorado, where he was also a fellow of the American Cancer Society. He earned a Ph.D. degree in microbiology at Lund University in Sweden.
