99 APPENDIX C Other Individuals/Interest Groups Survey Questionnaire NCHRP Questionnaire for Public Private Partnerships Issues The NCHRP Synthesis, Public Decision Making in Public Private Partnerships (Project 20-05, Task 39-06), will examine the information available in the U.S. and internationally that is needed to properly evaluate the benefits and risks associated with allowing the private sector to have financial stakes in transportation infrastructure, and how that information can be used in the decision making process. It will also investigate the reliability of that information, and how the broader public interest can be protected, and will identify gaps in public sector expertise, experience, and information. The purpose of this survey is to find your views on benefits of and concerns on Public– Private Partnership (PPPs) related to protecting the public interest, and how decision makers should address these concerns.
