Test Apparatus The tests were performed with the use of a BT Technology NCTL stress crack frame. A picture of the test set-up is shown in Figures A-9 and A-10. The test specimens are mounted in the frame, which is then placed in a constant temperature bath. Then, the weight tubes are attached to the back of the lever arm to apply the stress. Figure A-10. A.3.4 Junction Test (FDOT FM 5-572) The junction test is a Florida DOT test method (FM 5-572) and involves a test specimen cut from the pipe itself. An ASTM Type IV dumbbell specimen is used and it is cut from the pipe in a way that leaves the junction between the corru- gation and the liner intact in the center of the test specimen.
