Single- Versus Multi-task Walks

Unfettered walks over stable fitness-landscapes are illustrated in Figs. 3 and 4 for a morphospace containing 200,000 phenotypes mimicking early vascular land plants. As noted, the morphospace is multidimensional, consisting of a domain occupied by "ancient" isometrically branched phenotypes and another occupied by more "derived" anisometrically branched morphologies (Figure 3A).
