EILEEN G. THOMPSON is Manager of Corporate Strategic Research in the Information Development and Technology Department in Kraft Foods' Marketing Services area in Glenview, Illinois. She is responsible for Kraft Foods' External Assessment process as well as pan-company research and support for the Corporate Strategy area. Prior to joining Kraft, Dr. Thompson worked in Marketing Research for the Quaker Oats Company in Chicago, Illinois. She conducted marketing research in Pet Foods and Hot Cereals, assumed responsibility for research support for Quaker's New Ventures efforts, and developed the Consumer Monitoring Program to track consumer and marketplace trends. Before entering the corporate world, Dr. Thompson was an Assistant Professor of Psychology at Michigan State University, where she received her Ph.D. in Social Psychology. Her research focuses on the trends in consumer attitudes and the linkage between attitude and behavior.
