Participants were asked to present their recommendations to the committee regarding the types of health outcomes research for elderly people they would like to see undertaken in the next 10 years. The following topics were suggested as a guide, but recommendations on other topics were also welcome:

(e.g., market structure/incentives, quality improvement, interpreting and disclosing outcomes research)

Individual Characteristics

(e.g., frail elderly, terminally ill patients, diversity, dementia, patient preferences)

The Conduct of Health Outcomes Research
