ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS The work presented herein was made possible through the cooperation of many companies, transit systems and individuals. Due to human subject confidentiality requirements the operators who participated in the study are recognized however anonymous. The bus manufacturers and their representatives who have assisted with advice, review and some parts include Jim McDowell of NovaBus, Inc., John Moon of Gillig Corp., Harvey Dick of American Ikarus, Dale Guthrie and Marshall Owen of ThomasBuilt Buses, Inc., Heinz Schollhammer of Neoplan, and Lance Watt of Flxible. The Transit systems and their representatives who through their operators provided feedback include Joe Gilbert, Hugh Mose, and Bob Colton of Centre Area Transit Authority (CATA), Flash Quarry of Altoona Metropolitan Transit (AMTRAN), Bill Lloyd of Capitol Area Transit (CAT) and Jim Satterfield and Rich Wojnar of Pittsburgh Port Authority Transit (PAT). CATA supplied the bus that the prototype was constructed. Of course behind any good organization are good individuals.
