Scientist, U.S. Air Force; Head, Departments of Mechanical Engineering, Naval Architecture, and Marine Engineering, Massachusetts Institute of Technology; and President, Carnegie-Mellon University. In 1991 Dr. Stever received the National Medal of Science, the nation's highest scientific honor. He received an A.B. degree from Colgate University and a Ph.D. in Physics from the California Institute of Technology.

Webb, Melvin R., Director, Atlanta Comprehensive Regional Center for Minorities, Clark Atlanta University. Also at Clark Atlanta, Dr. Webb served as Dean of the College of Education and Professor of Biology and Science Education. He received a B.S. degree from Albany State College, an M.S. degree from Atlanta University, and a Ph.D. from Ohio State University.

Whitman, Robert K., Ph.D. candidate in Electrical Engineering, the University of Colorado at Boulder. Mr. Whitman is completing his doctoral degree in engineering following his professional work as an engineer with the IBM Corporation. Mr. Whitman has been active in American Indian Education Programs and served as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the American Indian Science and Engineering Society (AISES). The Department of Higher Education, Navajo Nation, recognized Mr. Whitman with a NASA Aerospace Fellowship and Outstanding Achievement Award. He received a B.S.E.E. from the University of New Mexico and an M.S.E.E. from Colorado State University.
