We are pleased to provide the enclosed report of the National ResearchCouncil's independent evaluation of the Navy Environmental HealthCenter's 1998 report Screening Level Air Human Health Risk Assessment, NAF Atsugi, Japan.The enclosed report was prepared by the Committee on Toxicology(COT) under Contract DAMD 17-89-C-9086 between the National Academyof Sciences and the Department of Defense. The COT members of thereview group were: Drs. Rogene Henderson (Chair), David Gaylor, CharlesFeigley, and Günter Oberdörster. The enclosed report was reviewed by Drs. DonaldGardner, Judith Graham, Loren Koller, and Joseph Rodricks. All membersof COT (see attached list) also reviewed the report.
