The international market for biofuels will depend on economic conditions and resource availability of individual countries.
In the near term, the primary market for ethanol fuel will be as a gasoline blend agent. Major market penetration of ethanol transportation fuel is likely to occur only in the long term.
The issue of an infrastructure must be addressed as part of the potential widespread use of bioethanol in the transportation sector.
