As part of a series of workshops on the role of engineering societies in engineering education in the United States, the National Academy of Engineering held a workshop titled “Engineering Societies’ Activities in Promoting Diversity and Inclusion” on June 4, 2018. The goals were to explore how engineering societies can promote diversity and inclusion in engineering, provide an opportunity for societies to share promising practices, and investigate possible collaborative actions. This publication summarizes the presentations and discussions from the workshop.
