On December 3-5, 2018, the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine convened a workshop in Washington, D.C., on U.S. Air Force (USAF) sustainment planning early in the development life cycle. This workshop was conducted as part of a broader study on addressing challenges and identifying opportunities to effectively design and execute sustainment planning across USAF systems and platforms. This publication summarizes the presentations and discussions from the workshop.
