The ad hoc committee’s evaluation will be based on available information, including the approach and data presented in Appendix A – Public Health Attribution and Performance Measure Methods of the technical reports, Public Health Risk-Based Inspection System for Processing and Slaughter (FSIS 2008a) and Improvements for Poultry Slaughter Inspection (FSIS 2008b) and on supporting information contained in these two reports. In its assessment the adequacy of data for calculating attribution, the committee will also evaluate and provide recommendations on FSIS’s proposed approach for using their Salmonella serotype data for assessing attribution.
