7 CONCLUDING COMMENTS The committee is pleased to have had the opportunity to provide timely input into your strategic planning efforts. The observations and advice in this report are based on impressions from a 2-day meeting in which the TRI management team had limited time to provide an in-depth explanation of its program activities. TRAC is prepared to provide regular feedback to you. This first letter report has therefore been kept brief in the interest of providing timely feedback for you to consider in finalizing the strategic plan. TRAC is scheduled to meet again in early 2017, by which time TRI will have issued the plan. It is my expectation that TRAC’s advice will become more focused and useful to you as committee members become more familiar with the program. On behalf of TRAC’s members, I thank you and your staff for providing an engaging and productive set of presentations and discussions. TRB staff and I will coordinate with you to determine the timing and topics for the spring 2017 meeting. Sincerely, Anna M. Barry, Chair Attachment
