55 Project Mix Design Information Appendix A provides detailed information about the mix design and actual mixture volumetric properties obtained from extraction and recovery of plant produced mixtures for projects included in this study. Table A1.1 describes four new overlay paving projects that were constructed in 2011 and 2012; these projects are designated as MT I-15, TN SR 125, IA US 34, and LA US 61. A P P E N D I X A Tables A1.2 (a) through (d) present the essential infor- mation for the 22 in-service projects and the one heavy vehicle simulator (HVS) project (CA 3a and 3b projects), divided into climate zones (wet freeze, wet no-freeze, dry freeze, and dry no-freeze). TRB's National Cooperative Highway Research Program (NCHRP) Research Report 843: Long-Term Field Performance of Warm Mix Asphalt Technologies compares material properties and field performance of warm mix asphalt (WMA) and control hot mix asphalt (HMA) pavement sections constructed at 28 locations across the United States. It explores significant determinants for each type of distress and potential practices regarding the use of WMA technologies.
