176  APPENDIX 4 STATE TRANSPORTATION INITIATIVES     January  2015  State  Transportation  Funding  Initiatives  Report: Thirteen  states  are  currently considering  transportation  funding  legislation, with more expected as  the  year progresses.  In January, several states began introducing new bills for the 2015 legislative session.  February 2015 State Transportation Funding  Initiatives Report Update:  Information updated to reflect recent initiatives, including approval of a 10 cents‐per‐gallon gas tax increase in Iowa.  March 2015 State Transportation Funding  Initiatives Report: Transportation  funding  legislation has been considered by 29 states so  far  this year. The March  report contains updates on 135 bills.  April 2015  State  Transportation  Funding  Initiatives Report:  State  gas  tax  increases have been passed  in  four  states,  with  one  more  pending  governor  approval. Several  other  states  are pushing  to  pass  transportation  funding measures  before  wrapping  up  their  2015  legislative sessions.  May 2015 State Transportation Funding Monthly Report: TIAC staff have tracked 138 bills in 38 states  throughout  2015.  Fifteen  bills  have  been  passed  to  date,  totaling  approximately  $2.7 billion in new transportation funding. Almost 100 bills are still pending legislative action.  July 2015 State Transportation Funding Monthly Report: Fifteen states have approved legislation to support transportation funding so far this year, with several others still considering legislation as the summer progresses.  August 2015 State Transportation Funding Monthly Report: An updated report on over 160 state transportation  funding measures  introduced  in 2015—  including what’s passed, what’s  failed, and what’s still pending.  September  2015  State  Transportation  Funding  Monthly  Report: An  updated  report  by  the Transportation  Investment  Advocacy  Center™  shows  18  states  have  passed  legislation  to support  transportation  investment  in 2015. Coming up,  three  states have  fall ballot measures pending voter approval, and at  least  two  states are  continuing  to  search  for a  transportation funding solution before the end of the year.  November/December 2015 State Transportation Funding Monthly Report: Final 2015 report shows 23 states have passed over 30 measures to support transportation investment in 2015, generating an estimated $11.3 billion in new revenue.
