ACRP Project 03-38 (FY 2015) Understanding FAA Grant Assurance Obligations Task 8 Research Report Chapter 1 1 C H A P T E R 1, I N T R O D U C T I O N This Research Report summarizes the research efforts and results of research conducted under ACRP 03-38 to develop a guidebook on Understanding FAA Grant Assurance Requirements. The results of this research include the Guidebook itself (Volume 1), Technical Appendices (Volume 2), which provides supplemental information on the requirements, and a PowerPoint presentation that can be adapted to the needs of individual users and their circumstances. The remainder of this report is structured as follows: ï· Chapter 2 summarizes the research results from outreach to FAA and State Block Grant Staff. ï· Chapter 3 summarizes the research results from outreach to industry stakeholders. ï· Chapter 4 summarizes the research results from the literature review, including compilations of administrative and judicial decisions. ï· Chapter 5 provides recommendations for further research.
