Your answers to the following questions will help us develop case example guidance for other airports looking to strengthen their own workforce programs. Airport Employee Stressors 1. What are the most common workplace stressors that your airport employees face? a. What impact[s] do these types of stressors have on your workforce? b. What impact[s] do these types of stressors have on your airport? 2. What are the most common personal or environmental stressors that your airport employees face? a. What impact[s] do these types of stressors have on your workforce? b. What impact[s] do these types of stressors have on your airport? 3. What challenges or experiences are unique to airport employees that must be considered in the design of an Employee Well-Being Program? General Information About the Employee Well-Being Program 4. Please briefly describe the Employee Well-Being Program that is in place at your airport. a. What components does it include? b. How long has it been in place? 5. What value does the Well-Being Program provide to employees? How do these Well- Being Program components support employee well-being? 6. What value does the Well-Being Program provide to the airport as an organization? How does the Employee Well-Being Program support the airport’s overarching goals? Well-Being Program Development 7. How did your organization decide on these program offerings and how did you go about implementing them? 8. Has policy been impacted by the Employee Well-Being Program? a. If so, how have policies been impacted? 9. How did you involve key stakeholders or partner organizations in designing and implementing any of the program features? What role did each group play in the ongoing administration of the program?

Airport employees face a variety of stressors in their daily work lives, and there are numerous and varied approaches that airports are currently taking to focus on employee well-being.

The TRB Airport Cooperative Research Program's ACRP Synthesis 113: Airport Workforce Programs Supporting Employee Well-Being details the most commonly used well-being program offerings at airports.

Benefits of these programs to airports include reduced health care costs, improved productivity, decreased absenteeism, improved employee recruitment and retention, and camaraderie and teamwork among employees. By participating in well-being programs, employees can also experience personal benefits, such as improved physical health, increased job satisfaction, and other emotional benefits.
