135 FEDERAL AVIATION ADMINISTRATION REAUTHORIZATION ACT OF 2018 SECTION 432 STUDY ON THE FEASIBILITY OF IN-CABIN WHEELCHAIR RESTRAINT SYSTEMS SEC. 432. STUDY ON IN-CABIN WHEELCHAIR RESTRAINT SYSTEMS. (a) STUDY.âNot later than 2 years after the date of enactment of this Act, the Architectural and Transportation Barriers Compliance Board, in consultation with the Secretary of Transportation, aircraft manufacturers, air carriers, and disability advocates, shall conduct a study to determineâ (1) the feasibility of in-cabin wheelchair restraint systems; and (2) if feasible, the ways in which individuals with significant disabilities using wheelchairs, including power wheelchairs, can be accommo- dated with in-cabin wheelchair restraint systems. (b) REPORT.âNot later than 1 year after the initiation of the study under subsection (a), the Architectural and Transportation Barriers Compliance Board shall submit to the appropriate committees of Congress a report on the findings of the study.
