Over 100,000 people were killed by that detonation. (a) How much matter was completely converted to produce this quantity of energy? (b) It is estimated that about one kg of the uranium in that bomb successfully underwent nuclear fission. If this estimate is correct, what fraction of that uranium was converted completely into energy? |
