Charge for the Committee on Electrometallurgical Techniques for DOE Spent Fuel Treatment (Phase 3)
The Committee on Electrometallurgical Techniques for DOE Spent Fuel Treatment was charged with carrying out three tasks in phase 3 of its work:1
-
Continue its ongoing evaluation and issue a final report at the end of the demonstration project (June 1999);
-
Review the viability of Electrometallurgical Technology (EMT) in light of technical progress in other possible treatment technologies; and
-
Evaluate the criteria developed by the Argonne National Laboratory/ Department of Energy (ANL/DOE) to determine the success of the demonstration project.
