ANTHONY CAMPILLO is the head of the Optical Physics Branch at the Naval Research Laboratory, where he directs research in the areas of laser development, optical diagnostic and sensor development, photonics, and nanotechnology. He is an active researcher who currently publishes in the areas of laser chemical analysis, photonic bandgap structures, and microcavity effects.
