Berroyer enjoyed a 24-year career with the Illinois Department of Transportation, where she held the position of Bureau Chief of Urban Program Planning for 9 years. During her tenure she oversaw the development of urban transportation programs in Illinois, including highway, aviation, and public transit programs; administered the metropolitan planning pro gram and air quality functions; and managed development of the department's technical database.
