His prior experience includes 18 years with American Airlines, where, as chief airportaircraft compatibility engineer, he was responsible for systemwide planning, design, and construction of airport and aviation facilities. He earned a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from Worcester Polytechnic University and a master's degree in transportation planning from Polytechnic University of New York.
