Kathryn Newcomer is the Director of the Ph.D. in Public Policy and Administration program and Associate Director of the School of Public Policy and Public Administration at the George Washington University where she teaches public and nonprofit, program evaluation, research design, and applied statistics.

In addition to training programs, her work has also involved the conduct of large-scale surveys aimed at evaluating peer review in the neurosciences, identifying the factors that affect satisfaction of NIH applicants for research grants, assessing the supply of and demand for faculty in special education, and trends in the education and employment of psychologists and is an Associate Member of the National Academy of Sciences.
