The workshop was convened with the overall objective of addressing the gaps in the scient6fic evidence on multiple chemical sensitivity.

The second group also proposed the use of controlled exposures of subjects in whom multiple chemical sensitive s diagnosed and of control subjects. This group advocated the formulation of animal models, the investigation of tissues, and the development of a data base of chemicals, foods, and ~ reported to be associated with multiple chemical sensitivity.
