Table 5-1 summarizes the symposium committee's evaluation, based in part on symposium discussions, of the present, near-term, and far-term capabilities for reasonably delivering the type, accuracy, and lead time needed for each of the environmental parameters. Research capability implies a predictive model or a measurement method available to researchers but not yet used for Navy operations.
