... To celebrate its 50th anniversary, COT held a colloquium on the history and future of toxicological risk assessment on December 4-5, 1997, at the NAS Auditorium in Washington, D.C. The five sessions included presentations on historical and recent developments in toxicological testing, mechanistic considerations in toxicological risk assessment, exposure assessment, risk characterization, and the use of toxicological data in risk management.
