Agriculture
The National Academies address science and policy issues confronting the agricultural, food, and environmental system. They provide expert advice on issues of food, animal health, and production and related matters of natural resource development including forestry, fisheries, and wildlife. Other issues include the need to sustain, restore, and improve the productivity of agriculture for the economic well-being of the nation. The Academies also conduct relevant work relating to policy formulation, technologic assessment, research and development, and emerging issues and problems.
