Most DOTs also conduct RSAs on facilities under the jurisdiction of another agency, conduct some RSA team meetings virtually, or usually hire a contractor to lead RSAs.

Survey Results 45   Key Survey Findings for DOT Procedures for RSAs • Regarding RSA procedures, crash frequency and stakeholder requests are the factors most frequently considered when selecting projects or locations for RSAs. The factors considered least often in RSA selection are district or region, project cost, project funding source, amount of RSA funding, and access to public transit.
