These revisions are based on the research provided in this report including the observed response of lightly reinforced and prestressed concrete members, and review of methods specified in US and international codes.

...   79 4.1.3 Conclusions on the Parametric Study Of the four methods evaluated as part of this study two can be considered Strength methods and the other two are Prescribed Area methods. These methods are based on providing nominal strength in excess, by an acceptable margin, of the flexural cracking strength.
