appendix C Statement of Task An NRC committee will evaluate potential air quality, public health, and other impacts of EPA's final rules of December 31, 2002, and October 27, 2003, relating to "prevention of significant deterioration" in areas currently meeting air quality standards and "new source review" in areas that do not currently meet air quality standards. The programs are collectively referred to as NSR.

APPENDIX C 28 Having reviewed and evaluated the available data, the committee would be expected to identify and recommend additional data collection that would be necessary in the future years going forward to assess impacts. In addition to a final report, the committee will provide an interim report containing all conclusions and recommendations the committee determines to be feasible and appropriate at that stage in its study.
