Existing Quality of Life Resources 85 With guidance from case studies and literature on mixed-methods, multicriteria approaches, the methodology described in Chapter 3 and in Appendix D is an indicator-based approach that uses a combination of detailed quantitative data sets -- when available -- and qualitative data collected via survey from community members. This mixed-methods approach will introduce more possibilities for analysis and interpretation than a strictly quantitative analysis.
