To supplement the Engineering, and Medicine to provide independent, objective analysis and perspectives and expertise of its members, the Forum also advice to the nation and conduct other activities to solve complex problems and holds public workshops to engage a wide range of experts, inform public policy decisions. The National Academies also encourage education members of the public, and the policy community.
