... A workshop to be held in Moscow in May 2010 became the subject of negotiations for a Memorandum of Understanding between the Academies, NIH, and the Russian Academy of Sciences. The agreement was acknowledged by President Obama and Secretary Clinton during the President's visit to Moscow and led to collaboration between IOM and NIAID to develop coordinated MDR TB meetings in both Russia and South Africa in 2010.
