2 Examples of Facility Space Provided for Community Use at Airports As a consequence of the principal investigator's midpoint assessment of progress, the project panel altered the focus of the synthesis to obtaining the broadest possible identification and compilation of the kinds and examples of facilities that airports provide for use by community groups or local nonprofit organizations. Accordingly, investigators for this report surveyed 56 airports, including airports from every region of the United States and three Canadian airports.
