Assimilation and effective and timely use of the wealth of information available, integration of coalition forces into our own information operations, and defense against information warfare attack will constitute the biggest challenge to successful force operation, because without solving these technical and opposition threats to information superiority, the forces will not be able to operate as effectively as they need to operate against potential opposition. Operations, especially information gathering, processing, and dissemination, will be joint, as will many of the systems operated by the naval forces or for their operational benefit.
