... HOSPITAL TRAUMA COMMITTEES Trauma committees, as standing committees of hospital staffs, might serve several easeful purposes. As multi-specialty groups, they would set the standards of care, supervise staffing and function of the emergency department, maintain the trauma registry, and conduct training programs for staff, paramedical and ambulance personnel in cardiopulmonary resuscitation and other advanced techniques.
